If the Chicago Bears are going to surprise everyone on Sunday with a win, then it's because they took advantage of a shorthanded Dallas Cowboys team. The Bears listed several players as out for this Week 8 matchup and Dallas will be without star running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Bears Inactive Players

Prior to Sunday's kickoff in Dallas, the Chicago Bears listed four players as out:

Defensive back Lamar Jackson, tight end Jake Tonges, and wide receiver Isaiah Coulter are all out for Sunday's game in Dallas. Offensive lineman, Larry Borom, has been dealing with a concussion all week.

Borom didn't practice at all since Monday's win over the New England Patriots and the likelihood of him suiting up against Dallas was slim. The Bears already ruled him out of the matchup with the Cowboys after he missed Friday's practice.

Although the Bears did activate offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood in place of the injured Borom, they have a difficult task ahead of them with the Cowboys' formidable pass rush.

But the Chicago Bears did catch a break with Ezekiel Elliott missing Sunday's contest. After losing Robert Quinn to the Eagles in a trade, the Bears need all the help and good fortune they can get if they hope to shock the NFL world for a second consecutive week.
