The Chicago Bears are set to play their second game of the 2022 preseason slate on Thursday. The team traveled to Seattle with rookies Kyler Gordon and Velus Jones Jr. in tow.

Both Gordon and Jones Jr. missed significant time during training camp. But as both players returned to practice this week after missing the Bears' first preseason game, they are likely set to make their respective debuts on Thursday night.

How Much Will The Bears' Starters Play?

As previously reported, Roquan Smith is traveling with the team to Seattle as well. It's unknown whether or not he'll play. Even if he suits up, however unlikely that appears, he would not play for long.

Head coach Matt Eberflus said the starters will play. But since the Bears are on a short week, the starters will likely have a snap limit.

In spite of the probable cap, Kyler Gordon and Velus Jones Jr. should see a significant amount of playing time. With the Chicago Bears' depleted receiving corps, the rookie wideout from Tennessee could use all the repetitions he can get.

After Jaquan Brisker made his name very well-known Saturday against Kansas City, Kyler Gordon should be next in line to make waves and introduce the NFL to his defensive abilities.
