According to multiple sources, Bears' sideline reporter Marc Grote among them, the Bears' Saturday injury report has bad news. Running back David Montgomery is heading to the IR and defensive lineman Akiem Hicks did not travel with the team to Las Vegas. Still dealing with a groin injury, Hicks was questionable to play all week.

Not all bad news

Linebacker Danny Trevathan is back! He'll make his first appearance of the year against the Raiders on Sunday and the Bears definitely need him. With Hicks out and Eddie Goldman's sub-par performance, the Bears' defense needs all the help they can get. Trevathan's return is welcome in a week five matchup that the Bears would love to make a splash in.

We knew David Montgomery wasn't going to play this game against the Raiders. Nevertheless, it's unfortunate to officially be without his services for the foreseeable future. The Bears' Saturday injury report revealing that Akiem Hicks will miss this game is a huge blow to this defense. The man solidifying the middle of that defensive line provides a certain stability that they greatly lack when he's not present.

While getting Danny Trevathan back is not all bad news, the Bears still have a tough task ahead of them. The Raiders are coming off their first loss of the year and they will be coming out of the gate swinging.
