According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Chicago Bears signed former Lions' cornerback Desmond Trufant on Friday afternoon.

It seems the Bears have found their replacement for All-Pro cornerback Kyle Fuller after the surprising cut on Thursday afternoon.

Trufant spent the majority of his career with the Atlanta Falcons where he earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2015. He spent 2020 with the Detroit Lions. Injuries have hampered Trufant as of late, only playing in 15 games over the last two seasons. If healthy, the veteran cornerback should be a solid replacement and more importantly a good mentor to Jaylon Johnson.
