Bears, Tarik Cohen Agree to 3-Year Extension
When the Bears take the field on Sunday afternoon against the New York Giants, one of their players will have a freshly-minted contract.
Late Saturday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Bears are signing Tarik Cohen to a three-year extension.
It was reported earlier in the day that the Bears were looking to extend the running back.

Cohen currently serves as the complement running back to starter David Montgomery. He handles the primary punt returning duties as well.
The 2017 fourth-round pick was named to the Pro Bowl, First-Team All-Pro, and won the Brian Piccolo Award back in 2018.
This extension, however, comes somewhat as a surprise as the expectation was that the Bears would prioritize Allen Robinson and attempt to get him signed to a new multi-year deal.
It has yet to been seen how Cohen's contract extension affects Robinson's contract status. Hopefully, it follows suit.
