As Sunday's matchup with the Baltimore Ravens approaches, one key member of the Chicago Bears returned to the practice field. On Thursday afternoon, Eddie Jackson was a limited participant.
This is a great sign for a Bears defense that has been depleted by injuries. While Jackson taking practice reps is a step in the right direction, the Bears' health still has a long way to go.
Akiem Hicks, Khalil Mack, and Allen Robinson did not participate in practice Thursday. Luckily, those players still have a couple of days to get healthy before Sunday.
The last time the Bears took the field, they gave up 29 points to the Steelers. Pittsburgh isn't the most dynamic offensive team, so allowing that many points was not a good look. Khalil Mack and Akiem Hicks are key components of stopping the run, which will be uber important against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
On offense, the Bears have been able to produce with Allen Robinson. It was clear during the second half of the Steelers game that Justin Fields has come a long way since his first start. Darnell Mooney can also carry a good chunk of the receiving load, but surrounding Fields with as many weapons as possible would be an ideal situation.
