The Chicago Bears were dealt another blow on offense. Their already sparse wide receiver corps has just gotten thinner as Byron Pringle lands on injured reserve. Luckily, it is not a season-ending designation. At the minimum, he will miss four weeks.

Pringle suffered a calf injury in the Bears' 23-20 win over the Texans in Week 3. After his early exit, he was in a walking boot after the game.

Pringle is one of several Bears' wideouts dealing with injury issues. Rookie Velus Jones Jr. has yet to suit up through the first three weeks and N'Keal Harry is still on injured reserve.

With Byron Pringle now on IR, the Chicago Bears have signed linebacker Joe Thomas to the main roster from the practice squad. Thomas was elevated to the roster for Sunday's game against the Texans. He filled in for Matt Adams, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
