The Chicago Bears released their first "unofficial" depth chart for the 2022 season. It comes just five days ahead of the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers at Soldier Field.
Of course, there weren't many significant surprises.
The offensive line is truly the position group to watch, whereas everything else looks status quo from the preseason. Up front, Lucas Patrick looks to be back and starting at center, pushing Sam Mustipher back to second string.
On defense, the linebacker position will see a small tweak as well. Roquan Smith and Nicholas Morrow will be playing alongside Matt Adams instead of preseason standout Jack Sanborn.
It will be interesting to see if Matt Eberflus and his coaching staff change anything between now and Sunday. Of course, injuries will play a factor in the Chicago Bears' depth chart moving forward. But as of now, the initial depth chart looks as expected.
