Chicago Bears' star defensive back Eddie Jackson hasn't been able to practice so far in 2021. That changed today, however, as Jackson is back on the practice field, per Bears' sideline reporter Mark Grote.
It's also worth noting that Danny Trevathan is out with a knee injury and Marquise Goodwin is sidelined with a foot injury today. Neither appears to be a serious ailment.
Eddie Jackson is back just in time to prepare for the Bears' first preseason game on Saturday. It's not likely that he will see a bulk of snaps, but he could potentially take the field for one series.
Now that the NFL has reduced the preseason to only three games, the Bears will need to take advantage of every minute of practice from here on out. Several members of the offensive line are hurt or have been hurt to this point in training camp. Roquan Smith and now Danny Trevathan are dealing with injuries among the linebacker corps. Jackson is a crucial part of the Bears' defense and he needs to get back to top shape quickly.
