As if the Chicago Bears don't have to deal with enough adversity, another offensive lineman went down on Sunday with an injury. Cody Whitehair left the loss against the New York Giants early with an injury and did not return.
Cody Whitehair Injury Update
Following the loss, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus spoke with the media. He classified Cody Whitehair's injury as a knee-related injury and mentioned that he will be further evaluated.
The coach didn't state whether or not Whitehair would miss significant time and he also said they expect to have more information this week.
As the Bears move into the next month of the season, questions remain along the offensive line. These aren't just questions about health either. What is the best possible combination along the offensive line to maximize the protection around Justin Fields?
Do the Chicago Bears have an answer in case Cody Whitehair is out for a period of time? Do they trust Teven Jenkins, Lucas Patrick, Sam Mustipher, and the rookie Braxton Jones?
These questions are fair and we won't know the truth until the Bears take the field in Minnesota for a Week 5 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.
