The Chicago Bears already have an injury bug heading into training camp. Last week, the Bears' training staff carted offensive lineman, Dakota Dozier, off the field with an injury. Now, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Dozier suffered a season-ending left knee injury. The Bears placed him on IR Tuesday and also signed defensive back, Jayson Stanley.

Dakota Dozier With The Chicago Bears

The Bears signed offensive lineman, Dakota Dozier, to a one-year deal this offseason. Dozier rotated with Sam Mustipher at the guard position in minicamp. But now that he's hurt, it appears rookie OL, Zach Thomas, will get more playing time.

Although it's still relatively early in the offseason, Dakota Dozier is likely done for the year if knee surgery is required. With Chicago Bears' training camp right around the corner, this is unfortunate news, to say the least.

DB Jayson Stanley

With an open roster spot, the Chicago Bears signed defensive back, Jayson Stanley. The former Georgia Bulldog bounced around the NFL on different practice squads. The only NFL action he's seen came in 2020 with the Seattle Seahawks.

Stanley appeared in eight games with Seattle and saw only seven snaps on defense. But he spent the rest of his time on special teams with the Seahawks, playing in nearly 60% of their snaps.

Jayson Stanley was on the Seahawks' practice squad multiple times. He also had a short stint with the Green Bay Packers and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Chicago Bears begin training camp at Halas Hall in just over a month and the loss of Dakota Dozier is an unfortunate blow to a team who needs as many healthy bodies on the field as possible.
