After signing Nicholas Morrow for the defense, the Chicago Bears flipped their focus to the offense on Tuesday night. Ryan Poles and the Bears have agreed to terms with former Packers offensive lineman Lucas Patrick.
Patrick comes on a very fair deal. It is two years for $8 million, with $4 million guaranteed.
Lucas Patrick has played his entire career in Green Bay. He started in 13 games last year, but appeared in all 17 games. It is a great sign that he has longevity, unlike last year's Bears offensive line that was always riddled with injuries.
Patrick is very experienced and well spoken. From listening to him talk fans can sense he will be great in helping the development of Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom. Also, he loves playing nasty.
The next issue for Ryan Poles to address is the wide receiver position. Options like JuJu Smith Schuster should be looked at. Allen Robinson is most likely gone and Justin Fields will need a number one wide receiver.
Ryan Poles has been very concentrated adding in areas of weakness. Let's see where he goes next.
