With 2022 Chicago Bears Training Camp in full swing, everyday brings new insights to the fans. Every rep, every highlight, and every update gives fans more clarity on the team's structure for the upcoming season. On Thursday, potentially concerning news surfaced via Kevin Fishbain. The Bears writer for The Athletic reported that second-year offensive tackle Teven Jenkins is absent from practice.

After various reports yesterday indicating Larry Borom was getting reps at right tackle, it appears Jenkins' health might be a concern after all. The Oklahoma State product struggled with back issues that kept him out for most of the season last year. However, the former regime had belief in the big tackle after trading up to select him in the 2021 NFL Draft.

However, with a brand new front office and coaching staff in place, every single player has to earn their keep. In Jenkins' case, it doesn't appear to be for a lack of talent, but rather health might be the culprit keeping him off the field. It's early in camp, but good news regarding his health is likely what everyone wants to hear in the coming hours and days.
