Eddie Jackson of the Chicago Bears is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the 49ers after suffering a hamstring injury in the 1st quarter.
A combination of DeAndre Houston Carson and Teez Tabor are filling in during Jackson's absence. While Jackson has been a lightning rod of criticism for his tackling and lack of INTs, he is considered to be one better cover safeties in the NFL.
The impact of his injury could be felt in the first half, as the 49ers attacked the deep middle of the field multiple times with success. In addition, Teez Tabor had a chance at an interception but was a step late. I could not help but wonder whether Eddie would have been that step closer. The Bears play in the secondary Bears watching in the second half, as the 49ers seemed to be more pass-happy than usual after the Jackson injury occurred.
