As NFL free agency winds down, there are still plenty of players finding new homes. Former Chicago Bears safety and free agent, Deon Bush, reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Adam Schefter.

The Bears drafted Bush 124th overall in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. Over the past six years, Bush played in 79 games for the Bears. He recorded three interceptions, all of which came in the last two seasons, and forced one fumble.

Deon Bush recorded 89 combined tackles and even has one sack that came in 2018. In his six years with the Chicago Bears, Bush split his snaps between defense and special teams. The majority of his time was spent on special teams, never having played more than fifty percent of defensive snaps. But, he is a workhorse and played nearly 1,200 snaps on special teams.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus and defensive coordinator Alan Williams will surely look to free agency to fill the hole left in Bush's absence. They need depth in the secondary and there are still some free agent players left for them to bring to Chicago.
