For the first time in a long time, the Chicago Bears have some good news on the injury front. After getting mashed by the Buffalo Bills in Saturdays preseason game, it's good to know the Bears are getting some reinforcements.

It looks like all three defensive starters missing from Saturday's game are a full go for practice this week. The Bears had an extremely difficult time making open field tackles and stopping short and intermediate quick passes on Saturday. Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan should help with both areas of weakness when suited up, but there is still some concern moving forward.

Obviously, Bears fans know the state of the tackle positions and getting Germain Ifedi back should make a difference. Signing Jason Peters should also be something worth noting. While the combination of Peters/Ifedi isn't ideal to start the season, it will be the best combo they can possibly put on the field to start the season. Keeping them healthy is important to say the least. They are currently the only players on the roster with a lions share of tackle snaps at the NFL level. Teven Jenkins will likely be out until after the bye and Larry Borom has actually been putting together a solid training camp, but its nice to have some form of stability with some veterans. We will have to see how that translates to the field on Saturday.

Also, it looks like Bilal Nichols might miss some time this year.

It's a good thing the Bears have gotten Eddie Goldman back, because it looks like Nichols may have turf toe. I hate to assume the worst, but sometimes turf toe can linger and Bears fans are hoping Nichols doesn't have the type that lingers for weeks. Last season, Bilal Nichols put himself on the map, and he was poised to break out this season. I hope this injury doesn't affect what he is able to do in a contract year.
