As indicated by the news surrounding Ian Cunningham, Dave Borgonzi, and Pep Hamilton, the Chicago Bears are very busy assembling their staff. As names continue to swirl heading into the weekend, one name has emerged from Chicago's rivals to the north. According to Albert Breer, a name to keep an eye on is Green Bay Packers passing-game coordinator Luke Getsy.

As indicated in the above tweets, Getsy has a relationship with Matt Eberflus. In addition, if Getsy ever wants to be a head coach someday, he will need to be a play-caller at least once in his career. In Green Bay, Matt LaFleur calls the offense, so Nathaniel Hackett's departure won't matter from that standpoint. In fact, Chicago offers him what the Packers can not.

There are a number of hot candidates on the market for the Bears' OC position. Pep Hamilton is one, and Getsy now joins that list. There have been others too, making this decision perhaps the most interesting of all the staff decisions. The next OC will work with a young, promising Justin Fields and try to take the Bears' offense to new heights.
