Could Andy Dalton be the game manager Matt Nagy has been looking for since his Kansas City days?

The Bears have once again kicked the tires on a replacement for Mitchell Trubisky in 2021. This time it is a familiar name -- former Bengals/Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton.

The three-time Pro Bowler would step into a 'competition' with Nick Foles should the Bears decide to sign Dalton. Dalton's most recent success came in the 2018 season when he threw for 21 touchdowns in just 11 games. He could potentially be the game manager that Matt Nagy has been looking for ever since finding success with Alex Smith in Kansas City.

Andy Dalton is currently a free agent and while he struggled last season with the Cowboys, he was only paid $3 million in 2020. This move would not be much of a cap hit as Dalton's value has seemingly decreased due to his poor performance last season.
