With every team passing the midway point of the season, we have a brand new number one in this week's NFL power rankings. Every division race is tight, and wild card spots are even tighter with eight weeks remaining in the season.

1. New Orleans Saints (7-1)

Last Week: 2

The Saints come off their bye week fully healthy and fully ready to fight for the number one seed in the NFC. Their offense is fluid, and their defense plays with intensity this year.

Week 10: vs ATL; Sunday 1:00pm ET

2. New England Patriots (8-1)

Last week: 1

The Patriots went into Baltimore and got beat up and down the field. New England always has a few games like this during the year, so while Baltimore is a threat, I still see the AFC running through Foxborough.

Week 10: BYE

3. San Francisco 49ers (8-0)

Last Week: 3

San Francisco continues to look like a legitimate contender. Their defense has been playing off the charts, and their offense is doing more than enough every week. They’ll have to keep it up to fend off the Seahawks and Rams in the NFC West.

Week 10: vs SEA; Monday 8:15pm ET

4. Baltimore Ravens (6-2)

Last Week: 5

The Ravens had one of the most impressive wins of the NFL season on Sunday in Foxborough. You also see that thumping by Cleveland in week four and wonder how that happened. Nonetheless, the Ravens are for real and have the AFC North looking like a lock.

Week 10: @ CIN; Sunday 1:00pm ET

5. Seattle Seahawks (7-2)

Last Week: 6

Seattle has had its ups and downs this season, and on Sunday they almost had another down. They squeezed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime and improved to 7-2. A massive matchup is set up for next Monday with the 49ers, which could go a long way in determining the NFC West favorite.

Week 10: @ SF; Monday 8:15pm ET

6. Kansas City Chiefs (6-3)

Last Week: 9

The Chiefs almost won both games without MVP Patrick Mahomes. They played well against Green Bay but fell short. This week, they pulled out a huge win against the Vikings. With Mahomes coming back this week against Tennessee, the Chiefs are set up to make a midseason run at the Patriots.

Week 10: @ TEN; 1:00pm ET

7. Green Bay Packers (7-2)

Last Week: 4

The Packers and Aaron Rodgers looked sluggish against the Chargers on Sunday. They dug themselves a hole they could never get out of. They were lucky to see Minnesota fall as well, as they maintained first place in the NFC North.

Week 10: vs CAR; 4:25pm ET

8. Houston Texans (6-3)

Last Week: 10

The Texans looked the part of an AFC contender in London. Their offense and Deshaun Watson continued to roll as they gained another game lead on the Indianapolis Colts. Looking forward, the Texans join the Patriots, Ravens, and Chiefs as legitimate AFC title contenders.

Week 10: BYE

9. Buffalo Bills (6-2)

Last Week: 11

The Bills went back to their winning ways on Sunday with a victory over Washington. They aren’t flashy, but they get the job done. They have a favorable schedule, just like the Patriots, the rest of the way.

Week 10: @ CLE; Sunday 1:00pm ET

10. Minnesota Vikings (6-2)

Last Week: 7

Minnesota took a tough loss against the Chiefs, which especially hurts because Patrick Mahomes was still sidelined with an injury. The Vikings hit a bump in the road but still have a pathway to make the playoffs and even win the NFC North.

Week 10: @ DAL; Sunday 8:20pm ET

11. Indianapolis Colts (5-3)

Last Week: 8

The Colts have looked better than expected this season. They lost Jacoby Brissett to an ankle injury in the first half, but backup Brian Hoyer filled in nicely. He drove the Colts down the field on the final drive only to see Adam Vinatieri miss because his holder kept the laces in.

Week 10: vs MIA; Sunday 4:05pm ET

12. Carolina Panthers (5-3)

Last Week: 13

The Panthers continued an impressive season behind RB Christian McCaffrey. They have a tough test next week in Green Bay, but if they come away with a win, Carolina could be looking at a chance for the playoffs.

Week 10: @ GB; Sunday 4:25pm ET

13. Los Angeles Rams (5-3)

Last Week: 12

Los Angeles’ offense has looked better the past few weeks, and hopefully for them, it continues after a bye. The Rams showed just last year that they are capable of a run that puts them in the Super Bowl. The addition of Jalen Ramsey puts this defense on a level they weren’t at last season as well.

Week 10: @ PIT; Sunday 4:25pm ET

14. Dallas Cowboys (5-3)

Last Week: 14

The Cowboys added a much-needed victory against the Giants on Monday. They have a tight lead over the Eagles and need every win they can get. A massive game against the Vikings looms for Dallas on Sunday night.

Week 10: vs MIN; Sunday 8:20pm ET

15. Philadelphia Eagles (5-4)

Last Week: 16

The Eagles took down the Bears in a game won in the trenches. Carson Wentz wasn’t outstanding, but he still got the job done. If the Eagles defense can continue to improve, Philadelphia should be locked in a tight race with the Cowboys until the last week of the year.

Week 10: BYE

16. Oakland Raiders (4-4)

Last Week: 20

Oakland continues to improve under Jon Gruden. They won a shootout against Detroit at home to push them back to .500. If Oakland can continue to look the way they have been, they could see themselves in a wild card race.

Week 10: vs LAC; Thursday 8:15pm ET

17. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4)

Last Week: 18

The Steelers have rattled off three wins in a row after a 1-4 start. They continue to play at a high level without Ben Roethlisberger. The playoffs are a stretch, but Mike Tomlin and the Steelers deserve a lot of credit for their rebound performance.

Week 10: vs LAR; Sunday 4:25pm ET

18. Detroit Lions (3-4-1)

Last Week: 15

The Lions have a high-powered passing offense, but their defense and running game hold them down. A much-improved year is slipping away for the Lions, but it still has been a step in the right direction.

Week 10: @ CHI; Sunday 1:00pm ET

19. Los Angeles Chargers (4-5)

Last Week: 22

The Chargers pulled off another win against an NFC North opponent on Sunday. They kept their slim playoff chances alive and will need to do so again on Thursday against Oakland.

Week 10: @ OAK; Thursday 8:15pm ET

20. Arizona Cardinals (3-5-1)

Last Week: 17

Arizona has looked great on offense, but a tough schedule and growing pains for a rookie QB and head coach has resulted in a 3-5-1 record. In a year that has seen Kyler Murray improve game by game, the Cardinals should be happy with what the future holds.

Week 10: @ TB; Sunday 1:00pm ET

21. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5)

Last Week: 19

The Jaguars’ defense has regressed. Their offense has as well, but this is a team that thrives on its defense. If the defense can’t fix their problems, the Jaguars won’t be sniffing the playoffs.

Week 10: BYE

22. Tennessee Titans (4-5)

Last Week: 21

The Titans offense didn’t show up in the first half on Sunday and put themselves in a hole. The defense fell apart and Christian McCaffrey ran all over them. An up-and-down season continued on Sunday and looks to be a theme for the rest of the year.

Week 10: vs KC; Sunday 1:00pm ET

23. Chicago Bears (3-5)

Last Week: 23

The Bears have lost four in a row after a 3-1 start. Their offense hasn’t been anywhere near as good as last year, and injuries have plagued the defense. A promising start to the year needs to turn around quickly for the Bears to have any chance at the playoffs.

Week 10: vs DET; Sunday 1:00pm ET

24. Denver Broncos (3-6)

Last Week: 26

The Broncos have had a rough season, but they took down the reeling Browns on Sunday for their third win of the year. A lot needs to happen in Denver this offseason for the Broncos to get back on track.

Week 10: BYE

25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6)

Last Week: 24

The Buccaneers lost a nailbiter in Seattle on Sunday. Another tough loss for a potent offense pushes the Buccaneers to 2-6 on the season. Tampa Bay is taking the right steps under Bruce Arians, but won’t see the payoffs at least until next year.

Week 10: vs ARI; Sunday 1:00pm ET

26. Cleveland Browns (2-6)

Last Week: 25

Cleveland’s season is about over. A Super Bowl-hyped team in the offseason has spiraled into a 2-6 start. There are a lot of changes that need to be made in Cleveland for 2020 to be better for the Browns.

Week 10: vs BUF; Sunday 1:00pm ET

27. New York Giants (2-7)

Last Week: 27

The Giants’ have a lot of holes that need to be filled, but they do have some pieces to build around in 2020 and beyond. If Daniel Jones can continue to improve, the Giants will be content with 2019.

Week 10: @ NYJ; Sunday 1:00pm ET

28. Atlanta Falcons (1-7)

Last Week: 29

The Falcons’ season has been nowhere near what they wanted. They can only look onto 2020, and they will be happy come next draft when they have a top-five pick.

Week 10: @ NO; Sunday 1:00pm ET

29. Washington Redskins (1-8)

Last Week: 30

Week 10: BYE

The Redskins have a few good things to look at in 2019, but like most of the teams at the bottom of these rankings, they’re looking toward 2020. It’s going to be a race for the number one pick.

30. Miami Dolphins (1-7)

Last Week: 32

Miami brought home their first win of the season on Sunday. They took down the Jets and lost their lead for the number one pick.

Week 10: @ IND; Sunday 4:05pm ET

31. New York Jets (1-7)

Last Week: 28

The Jets continued a horrible stretch of games by losing to the Dolphins. The Jets and Giants square off on Sunday to see who truly is the worst football team in the city.

Week 10: vs NYG; Sunday 1:00pm ET

32. Cincinnati Bengals (0-8)

Last Week: 31

The Bengals are the only team without a win in the NFL. They are leading the race for Tua Tagovailoa’s services.

Week 10: vs BAL; Sunday 1:00pm ET
