Memorial Day weekend was just fantastic. I packed up on Friday and drove to Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin with the family.

I stopped at a local liquor store in town and decided to give Spotted Cow a try. I have heard so much about this beer and had to give it a go. So let's dive in.

Spotted Cow has a nice golden color with tons of visible carbonation. One and a half finger of head that crackled off and settled into the beer. Appearance is only slightly cloudy. The smell is slightly sweet, like bubblegum and bananas.

The taste is slightly sweet as well. Taste is very clean and seems to have a bit of that bubblegum-like flavor. The mouthfeel is a bit heavier on the light end of the scale. The finish is just a bit wet.

As much as I loathe Wisconsin sports teams, I do love what New Glarus has brewed up here. I am not entirely sure if any Chicagoland liquor stores sell this, but if they do, buy it.
