Two powerhouse breweries that pretty much every craft beer drinker knows very well decided to team up for this hazy IPA brewed with honey. That concoction is a Stone and Deschutes collaboration called Let’s Bee Homies.
I love using honey in a lot of my cooking, especially meats, so it should come as no surprise that I also love beers that are brewed with it. If I see a beer that utilizes this sweet nectar, there's about a 90% chance I'm going to grab it.
First of all, I love the can art. The honeycomb, the flowers, the bees, and the colors make this can really stand out. I'm also a big fan of nature so this speaks to me.
To go along with the theme, the color of the beer is, you guessed it, beautiful golden honey. It also must be unfiltered because there are plenty of flavor crystals floating around in there. The taste starts off with a bit of orange, but then of course finishes off more sweet honey.
My only complaint about Let's Bee Homies is that personally, I would like a little more bitterness to balance it out. This one is sweet all the way through.
