Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom Out 2-3 Weeks With Groin Injury
Arvid Soderblom will miss two to three weeks because of a groin injury, the Chicago Blackhawks' AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, announced Saturday. Rockford placed the 23-year-old goaltender on injured reserve, retroactively to Dec. 28.
Soderblom has split time between the NHL and AHL in his second season in North America. The Swedish goalie is 2-10-2 with a 3.45 goals-against average and .894 save percentage in 15 NHL games. He is 1-3 with a 4.17 GAA and .862 save percentage in five AHL contests.
Earlier this month, the Blackhawks assigned Soderblom to the AHL in a corresponding move to activating Alex Stalock from IR.
