Coming off a 4-3 overtime win against the Oilers on Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks continue a busy weekend. They travel to Philadelphia for a matinee matchup with the Flyers on Saturday before hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday night. Following an optional Friday morning practice, interim head coach Derek King laid out his goalie plans for Kevin Lankinen and Marc-Andre Fleury this weekend.
Kevin Lankinen will get the net to begin the back-to-back slate. On the season, he owns a 3-5-4 record, 3.53 goals-against average, and .887 save percentage in 14 games. The 23-year-old allowed five goals on 36 shots (.861 SV%) in his last outing. Lankinen will look to improve upon that mark in the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday afternoon.
When the Blackhawks return home on Sunday night, Marc-Andre Fleury will face the Lightning. The future Hall of Famer has a 17-19-4 record, 2.83 goals-against average, and .911 save percentage in 40 games this season. Fleury stopped 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%) in Chicago's victory over Edmonton on Thursday.
The Blackhawks and Flyers do battle at 2 PM CT on Saturday afternoon with the game airing on ABC and ESPN+. Sunday features one of those great 6 o'clock starts when the reigning Stanley Cup Champions visit the United Center. NBC Sports Chicago and NHL Network will carry that broadcast.
