Blackhawks Injury Report: Murphy, Carlsson, Strome with New Designations
The Chicago Blackhawks provided an injury report involving three names this afternoon.
After missing six games due to a right hip ailment, defenseman Connor Murphy has been activated from Injured Reserve. Murphy's return will certainly be a major boost for the Blackhawks blue line as he averaged 22:45 TOI before the injury.
However, fellow defenseman Lucas Carlsson is headed to Injured Reserve as Murphy comes off it. Carlsson is expected to miss 10-14 days due to a strained groin. The young blueliner has played in ten games this season, recording no points and averaging 12:43 TOI.

Finally, Dylan Strome has been placed in the concussion protocol and will miss practice today. Blackhawks head coach Jeremy Colliton said Strome received a hit a few games back but the symptoms did not show up until recently.
The 23-year-old forward has logged four goals and four assists over 19 games this season, but he has gone pointless in his last six contests.
