Chicago Blackhawks' forwards Jonathan Toews and Henrik Borgstrom are in COVID-19 protocol and will miss Tuesday's practice.
The two forwards join an already lengthy list of Blackhawks personnel in COVID protocol.
Patrick Kane has been in the protocol since Saturday. Ryan Carpenter and Erik Gustafsson also entered the protocol on Saturday but returned in time to play against Detroit on Sunday.
Elsewhere on the roster, forward Jujhar Khaira and defenseman Riley Stillman were absent from the lineup vs. the Red Wings because of their placement in the COVID protocol.
Among the coaching staff, assistants Marc Crawford, Tomas Mitell, and Jimmy Waite remain away from team activities after missing Sunday's game, also due to the COVID protocol.
The Blackhawks are already facing adversity due to an 0-5-1 start to the season. Toews and Borgstrom entering COVID protocol as the team's next game approaches (Wednesday at 6:30 PM CT vs. Toronto) only makes matters more trying.
