Blackhawks' Kirby Dach Out 4-5 Months After Wrist Surgery
After undergoing successful surgery on a fractured right wrist, Chicago Blackhawks' forward Kirby Dach will miss four to five months before resuming hockey activities.
Dach suffered the injury during an exhibition contest ahead of the World Junior Championships, where he was supposed to serve as the captain of Team Canada.
The four- to five-month recovery timeline provided by the Blackhawks means that Dach will miss almost the entire 2021 NHL season. The former third overall draft pick was poised for a season of further growth while shouldering greater responsibilities in every facet of the game.
