As the NHL deals with COVID-19 outbreaks among its teams, amended protocols are now in place to help teams navigate roster decisions.

The taxi squad is back, at least until the All-Star break, and the Chicago Blackhawks are taking advantage of it. The team assigned forward Brett Connolly to the taxi squad among a series of Tuesday roster moves. Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is in COVID Protocol, which led to Collin Delia being recalled from the Rockford IceHogs. Additionally, Calvin de Haan is out of protocols.

Fleury entering protocols could make him unavailable for the Blackhawks' matchup with the Jets on Wednesday. The NHL postponed the Hawks' Tuesday contest vs. the Blue Jackets, however, so Chicago does have an extra day to determine the veteran netminder's status.
