The Chicago Blackhawks assigned two players to the Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday afternoon. Defenseman Jakub Galvas and goaltender Arvid Soderblom are heading to the AHL club. In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks recalled goaltender Cale Morris.

Both Galvas and Soderblom got the call to the NHL club prior to the Blackhawks' recent three-game road trip. Galvas recorded one shot and a -1 rating in the first two games of the trip before being a healthy scratch at Winnipeg on Monday night. Soderblom did not see action in net as Marc-Andre Fleury started all three games for the Blackhawks.

Cale Morris owns a 1-1-0 record, .881 save percentage, and 2.55 goals-against average in his brief time with the IceHogs this season.
