Blackhawks Taxi Squad Carousel: Bowey Up, Kalynuk/Teply Down
The Blackhawks shuffled their taxi squad a little bit on Wednesday, promoting recently signed defenseman Madison Bowey from the AHL. The team also sent defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk and forward Michal Teply down to the AHL Rockford IceHogs from the taxi squad.
The move gives the Blackhawks some additional defensive depth on their taxi squad. As for the other two rookies, they will be eligible to play on the IceHogs in their season opener on Friday.
Kalynuk and Teply have yet to appear in an NHL game during their time on the taxi squad. The move to Rockford will only benefit the two youngsters, as they will have ample time to develop while playing in the AHL.
