The Blackhawks are adding to their already crowded blue line by signing Manitoba native, Wyatt Kalynuk. The deal is a two-year pact worth $925,000 annually beginning in 2021-22.

Kalynuk, a 2017 seventh-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Flyers, became a free agent after not signing with the team. Kalynuk will be foregoing his senior season at the University of Wisconsin to turn pro.

In three seasons with the Badgers, the 6-foot-1, 189 lb Kalynuk scored 78 points (19 goals, 59 assists) in 110 games and served as team captain his junior season.
