The Chicago Blackhawks will be without forward Tyler Johnson and defenseman Isaak Phillips for Wednesday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Both players entered COVID-19 protocol as forward Henrik Borgstrom returned to the team.
Prior to landing in COVID Protocol, Johnson sat out the previous two games due to neck soreness. In eight games this season, the forward has three points (one goal, two assists) while averaging 14:26 of ice time.
Phillips previously helped fill in on the blue line during Riley Stillman's stint on the COVID list. The rookie defenseman did not record a point while averaging just 10:51 of ice time over the Blackhawks' last three games.
With Stillman, Borgstrom, and Jujhar Khaira now back from COVID Protocol after extended absences, the Blackhawks have more options to help fill in while Johnson and Phillips remain sidelined.
