Blackhawks Announce Jersey Numbers for 2022-23 Newcomers

The Blackhawks announced jersey numbers for six of their offseason acquisitions.

The Chicago Blackhawks announced Wednesday the jersey numbers for several of their new players entering the 2022-23 season. That group includes offseason acquisitions Colin Blackwell, Petr Mrazek, Max Domi, Andreas Athanasiou, Alex Stalock, and Dylan Sikura.

Chicago Blackhawks New Jersey Numbers

Colin Blackwell, signed on July 13, will take jersey No. 43. He began his career as No. 42 with Nashville before wearing No. 43 with the New York Rangers and Seattle Kraken. He last wore No. 11 with Toronto following the 2022 NHL trade deadline.

Petr Mrazek, acquired in a trade with Toronto on July 7, will switch back to No. 34. He wore the number in his first three NHL stops with Detroit, Philadelphia, and Carolina before wearing No. 35 last season with the Maple Leafs.

Max Domi, signed on July 13, will stick with his common No. 13. He wore the number from 2018-2020 in Montreal and again to close last season with Carolina.

Andreas Athanasiou, signed on July 13, will wear No. 89 for the first time in his career. He previously wore No. 72 with Detroit, No. 28 with Edmonton, and No. 22 with Los Angeles.

Alex Stalock, signed on July 13, will stick with the only number he's ever known -- No. 32. He previously wore it with San Jose, Minnesota, and Edmonton.

Dylan Sikura, signed on July 14, will shake things up for his second stint in Chicago with No. 79. He previously wore No. 95 with the Blackhawks, No. 15 with Vegas, and No. 9 with Colorado.
