After a two-week home-heavy stretch, the Chicago Blackhawks will hit the road Saturday when they visit the Winnipeg Jets. Ahead of the matinee contest, Hawks' head coach Luke Richardson announced one lineup change: Alec Regula will replace Filip Roos on the blue line.
The Blackhawks recalled Regula on Tuesday after placing Seth Jones on injured reserve. The 22-year-old played in Chicago's season opener before eventually heading to the AHL. Regula has two goals in four games for the Rockford IceHogs this season.
Alec Regula, who has 19 games of NHL experience, will take rookie Filip Roos' place among Blackhawks' defensemen. While Roos recorded an assist Thursday against Los Angeles, he also got caught in transition on the Kings' lone goal. Overall, he logged 16:33 of ice time, the lowest total among Hawks' defensemen.
The Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets do battle Saturday at 2:00 PM CT. The Central Division clash marks Chicago's first trip north of the border this season. Arvid Soderblom will start in goal for the Hawks as he looks to build on his first NHL win.
