Due to Petr Mrazek's injury, Soderblom has been up with the Blackhawks since Oct. 21. He has not seen game action at the NHL level yet this season but has a 3.47 GAA and .903 save percentage in two AHL contests.

On Friday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks activated forward Boris Katchouk off injured reserve. The 24-year-old missed the Hawks' first seven games of the season as he recovered from a left ankle sprain.
With Tyler Johnson now on injured reserve, the Blackhawks have a vacancy to fill in the forward group. Luke Richardson announced that Katchouk will make his season debut Saturday at Buffalo and Jujhar Khaira will be a healthy scratch.
