Ever since the NHL and NHLPA came to an agreement on a 56-game schedule for the 2021 season, logistics have been falling into place. The league clarified the off-side rule and announced COVID-19 protocols yesterday, but today's big announcement is the schedule release.

Here's a look at the Chicago Blackhawks 56-game schedule:

In order to minimize travel, teams will play two-game sets in a specific city before moving on to the next opponent. The Blackhawks will have their work cut out for them from the get-go as they open the season by visiting the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning.

The home opener won't be the same without fans in attendance, but the Blackhawks will take the ice at the United Center for the first time when they host the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, January 22nd. Renewing the Hawks/Wings rivalry is certainly one positive development in an otherwise peculiar season.
