Quick Hitter Preview: Blackhawks at Stars
After capping off a four-game homestand with a 2-1 victory over Nashville on Tuesday night, the Blackhawks hit the road for back-to-back games. They will be in Dallas tonight for their first meeting of the season against the Stars. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM central time.
Three Things
- Marcus Kruger took a nasty elbow to the face from former Blackhawk Ryan Hartman on Tuesday night. Kruger immediately left the game and was later diagnosed with a concussion. Luke Johnson was recalled from Rockford yesterday as the corresponding move to Kruger being placed on injured reserve.
- Both teams last played on Tuesday night, with the Hawks knocking off the Predators 2-1 and the Stars shutting out the Flames 2-0.
- Dallas generally plays at a slower pace than the Blackhawks. The Stars rank 28th overall in Corsi-for events (1382), so the Hawks must look to dictate terms by forcing the Stars to skate with them.

Laugh It Off
The Philadelphia Flyers ridiculous mascot and internet sensation Gritty continued to be just that on Tuesday night when he terrorized participants at an intermission contest while wearing a Santa suit. 'Tis the season!
