The 21-year-old forward will return to the Chicago Blackhawks organization on an AHL contract through the end of the upcoming season. Yetman skated in 16 games for the IceHogs in the shortened 2021 campaign, netting a pair of goals and five assists for seven points. The Ontario native was also one of eight IceHogs players to register a point in their professional debut when he found the back of the net in the season opener against the Chicago Wolves.
Head coach Derek King spoke highly of Yetman in a press release. He explained that Yetman obviously worked hard and added that the forward should pick up right where he left off in 2021, playing a strong game.
In the same release, Yetman talked about how helpful the coaching staff was for him last season. He disclosed that he engaged in several helpful talks with the coaching staff, and that his focus for next season is to get stronger and faster in order to become a more permanent fixture in the IceHogs' lineup.
