According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Chicago Bulls have traded for Troy Brown Jr. and Mo Wagner in exchange for Chandler Hutchison and Daniel Gafford.
It has been speculated that the Bulls would try to make more trades before the trade deadline after completing a blockbuster trade for Nikola Vucevic earlier this morning. This season, Troy Brown Jr. has appeared in 21 games for the Wizards, averaging 4.3 points per game and shooting 37.1% from the field. Mo Wagner has appeared in 25 games and is averaging 7.1 points and 2.9 rebounds a game.
While not as splashy as the Vucevic trade, this move provides more depth for the Bulls. In the NBA bubble, Brown was a key contributor for the Wizards. He averaged close to 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game. Wagner provides more depth at the center position for the Bulls and his ability to stretch the floor could be an appealing asset for head coach Billy Donovan.
This may not be the last move of the day for the Bulls, however. The team has been involved in trade talks for both Lonzo Ball and Gary Trent Jr. It will be interesting to see what else Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley have up their sleeves.
Stay tuned for future updates as the NBA Trade Deadline approaches at 2 PM CDT.
