The Chicago Bulls made another 10-day contract signing this afternoon. The first signing was former Georgia and Texas Tech guard Mac McClung. Now, the team is adding 13-year NBA veteran Ersan Ilyasova.
Ilyasova last played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season with the Utah Jazz. The 6-foot-9 forward from Turkey spent most of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. Ilyasova is a big who can stretch the floor and add much-needed size to a team that lacks it.
The Bulls are still down a plethora of players after COVID-19 ran rampant through the locker room. If Ersan Ilyasova impresses, he could be a valuable veteran piece on the end of the bench that sees some meaningful minutes. But if players continue to return from COVID-19 protocols as his 10-day contract expires, the Bulls will likely move on from him.
