Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has had quite the offseason in the spotlight. The NBA All-Star has won a gold medal and watched his NBA team revamp their roster. Now, he has just signed a deal to become a Mountain Dew-sponsored athlete.
The 26-year-old is seeing the fruits of his labor pay off. LaVine has been complimented by many elite players around the league as a dynamic scorer who is on the rise. Landing this deal with Mountain Dew helps him attract more eyes of fans that aren't familiar with his game.
Mountain Dew is partnered with NBA 2K22 as well. This benefits LaVine because he will be the in-game host for three-point challenges. LaVine is already well-known around the league being a two-time slam-dunk champion, but this just puts a little more shine on his star.
LaVine joins fellow NBA players, Zion Williamson, Bam Adebayo, Jaren Jackson Jr., Jamal Murray, and Myles Turner as representatives for the brand. When asked what it means to be a Mountain Dew athlete, LaVine responded, "Their approach is to work with players who are super authentic and true to themselves – that's what attracted me to work with MTN DEW and I can't wait to show fans what I'm all about."
