The Chicago Bulls have had an eventful last 16 hours. With the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Chicago selected Dalen Terry. Following the draft, the Bulls signed Marquette forward and UDFA Justin Lewis to a two-way deal. Now, they have added Carlik Jones to their Summer League roster.
Jones went undrafted in 2021. He began his college career at Radford but transferred to Louisville after his junior year. He has only played a total of five NBA games -- three for the Dallas Mavericks and two for the Denver Nuggets. Most of his success has come within the NBA's G League.
In the 2021-22 NBA season, Jones primarily suited up for the Texas Legends. He played in 33 games and averaged 21.1 PPG, 8.2 APG, and 4.6 RPG while shooting 46% from the field and 31% from downtown.
This signing is likely a Summer League roster-filler for the Chicago Bulls, but Carlik Jones does have a chance to shine a bit with this opportunity.
