It’ll dodge them more often than not during the 2022-2023 NBA season. But the national spotlight will shift to the Chicago Bulls for their preseason opener against the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 4.
TNT will carry the contest, which will be the Bulls’ first at the United Center since their 119-95 loss to Milwaukee in Game 4 of the first round of last season’s playoffs. Tip-off is set for 8:30 PM CT.
Adding even more intrigue to an otherwise meaningless game, Zion Williamson could very well see his first live-game action since May 2021. The Pelicans' star missed all of last season while recovering from right foot surgery.
The Bulls will have three more games on their preseason schedule thereafter, including another home game against the Nuggets three days later.
The 82-game regular-season schedule, which was released a week ago, places the Bulls in front of national television audiences 14 times. That includes a Feb. 16 tilt against the Bucks and the return of the #TNTBulls. The Bulls have won 20-straight regular-season home games on TNT dating back to Feb. 28, 2013.
The Chicago Bulls open the regular season in Miami against the Heat on Oct. 19.
