Media day ushers in the beginning of a new basketball season. Prior to Monday's festivities, the Chicago Bulls released their 2022 training camp roster.

Eleven players will return to the roster, giving coach Billy Donovan some continuity entering the season. While the Bulls' offseason was quieter than last year, they still added a pair of known veterans in Goran Dragic and Andre Drummond.

Dragic will see an increased role with Lonzo Ball missing the beginning of the season. Playing with Slovenia during EuroBasket 2022, Dragic averaged 15.2 PPG, 3.6 APG, and 3.2 RPG while shooting 42.9% from three. Those are solid numbers considering Dragic played second fiddle to Dallas Mavericks' star Luka Doncic on Team Slovenia.

Drummond brings size much-needed size and veteran experience to the undersized Bulls' roster. His play will help supplement Nikola Vucevic, who still averaged a double-double despite being stretched thin last season. Drummond is no slouch himself. He struggled in Philadelphia to begin last season but averaged 11.8 PPG and 10.3 RPG while playing 22 MPG in 24 games after a trade sent him to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Last Spot

The Chicago Bulls fill out their training camp roster with a few members of the Summer League team and some unsigned free agents. Justin Lewis is already locked into the first spot. Multiple players are in the mix for the final spot, including Kostas Antetokounmpo, Malcolm Hill, and Carlik Jones.

Training camp starts this Tuesday and the Bulls' first preseason game will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 4 vs. the Pelicans.
