The Chicago Bulls made Arizona guard, Dalen Terry, the newest member of the team when they selected him with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Soon after, Terry spoke to the media about being drafted.

Terry's personality and excitement shone through. He immediately showed off a chip on his shoulder and Dalen Terry spoke about his fit with the Chicago Bulls. He also praised his new teammates. Here are some of the highlights:

Dalen Terry went 18th overall, which is higher than most people not named Ricky O'Donnell thought he could go. Still, the 6-foot-7 guard already feels like he should have gone higher. That's the type of mentality you want on your team.

"It was all love honestly. I had a really good time. I called my agent right after and said that's where I need to be. Man, I'm so happy."

That's a perfect answer for Terry to endear himself to Bulls fans. There's nothing better than bringing a player in who had his eyes set on your team, as long as they play well. He went on to talk more about his fit with the team.

"I feel like I fit in perfectly. I'm a lengthy guard, willing to do anything to win. I watched so much DeMar DeRozan this year, just getting to his spots. Zach LaVine is the smoothest player ever."

Dalen Terry Knows The Right Things To Say

Dalen Terry fits the team well as a defensive-minded guard to help Billy Donovan mix and match rotations. He can share the floor with Lonzo Ball, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Coby White, and everyone else as long as he isn't being relied on for scoring. He recognizes that though, which is a plus.

As long as Terry doesn't play passively on offense to the point where teams ignore him, his team-first attitude will be a benefit to this Bulls team. He knows his role.

We need to see if he can contribute at an NBA level right now. We'll learn some more in the Summer League and depending on how free agency plays out, Dalen Terry could have a role off the bench as a rookie.
