Jon Greenberg of The Athletic is reporting that the Chicago Bulls will open their season against Detroit. The Bulls will travel to the Motor City and take on Central Division foe, the Pistons. The Detroit Pistons made some intriguing moves in the 2021 offseason. They also had the first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and selected Cade Cunningham.

The Detroit Pistons finished 15th in the Eastern conference in 2020. They went 20-52 and ended the season on a five-game losing streak. The Chicago Bulls finished as an 11th seed. They went 31-41 and missed the newly invented NBA Play-In round.

While the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls rosters have improved, they are still chasing Milwaukee. On paper, the Bulls have the more talented roster, but anything can happen on any given night in the NBA. The Pistons should still struggle with the talent Chicago has to offer. Fans always get up for inner division games and this game shouldn't disappoint to open the 2021-22 NBA season for Chicago.
