There can be a whole website dedicated to Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball's injury updates. Well, there is a new update and this one seems to be optimistic for once. Ball underwent surgery on his knee on Wednesday in Los Angeles. According to a new report, it went well and Ball could return this season.

During NBA media day on Monday, Arturas Karnisovas would not put a timetable on Ball's return. What was supposed to be a four-to-six week recovery back in January has now turned into an eight-month saga.

It's no secret the Bulls are better with Ball on the court. If he is able to return fully healthy, he could be the key to a successful playoff push. In the meantime, the Bulls will have to find an answer internally on who should start and hold the fort down until Ball's return.
