Last night the Milwaukee Bucks dropped their second straight game to the Miami Heat in the NBA Playoffs. The Heat now hold a 2-0 series lead over the Bucks, a team that had the best record in the Eastern Conference.
Richard Jefferson, an NBA analyst on ESPN, took to Twitter to say that Bucks' star Giannis Antetokounmpo is like a 'Scottie Pippen' who needs a Michael Jordan-type player to win.
This tweet did not sit well with the NBA Hall Of Famer, six-time NBA Champion, 10X All-Defensive Team, and seven-time NBA All-Star. Pippen responded with this tweet.
Pippen gave props to the 2018-19 NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo while also tossing in a jab at Richard Jefferson. It was nice to see Pippen fire back at Jefferson.
"Who were you as a player?" Well Pip, Richard Jefferson never made an All-Star team, an All-NBA Team, or an NBA All-Defensive Team. In fact, the only championship he won was on the back of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in 2015. That season he contributed a measly 5.5 PPG.
Think about who you're taking shots at, Richard, because Scottie Pippen just told you to stay in your lane.
Oh, let's put these career numbers in here, just in case there were any doubts.
Talk is cheap, but numbers and accolades don't lie.
