The Bulls Are Ready To Compete

According to a very popular Chicago Bulls Fan-Page, the Chicago Bulls appear to be done with the rebuild. The front office (GarPax) view themselves as an elite point guard away from serious contention.

It is no mystery that the Bulls can potentially have an exciting young core, if all of them stay healthy. Zach LaVine showed serious star power this year and willed his team to victory on a few occasions. Lauri Markkanen is a 7 foot unicorn that can drain the three and has developed quite a post game. Otto Porter Jr. brings that "Three and D" the Bulls have been missing and Wendell Carter Jr. holds down the post with his defense.

Now, the point guard position is somewhat of a question mark. Kris Dunn did not seize his opportunity this year and seemed to struggle much of the time with the starters. Kris seems much better suited coming off the bench and running the second unit.

This being said and shown, it makes sense that the Bulls brass wants to find to find an elite-level point guard to lead this team into the future. The obvious choice amongst most Bulls fans is to use the fourth pick to draft Ja Morant, Coby White, or Darius Garland. All these players are decent options to help lead the Bulls youth movement and all can play pace and space type ball.

Another option is to bring back a familiar face, Derrick Rose. D Rose and a Chicago homecoming seems to be match made in heaven. But can Derrick Rose be the guy to help this young ball club? A veteran point guard would surely help, but should the Bulls continue on by adding a younger option in the draft and letting this thing grow organically?

The answer to that is do both. Bring Rose back to help mentor a young point guard the Bulls draft, show the kid what it takes to be an effective NBA point guard, and what it means to play in this city.

Gar and Pax have a golden opportunity here to make something special happen. Don't screw it up, gentlemen.
