With the NBA draft inching closer and closer, more trade scenarios keep coming up about Zach LaVine. It's really hard to fathom why so many television personalities would think the Bulls would want to move on from Zach. The link I provide below is just one example of countless trade conversations about the 24-year-old two guard.
During the conversation in the video, it seems the man doesn't realize that Zach is only 24 years old. What is being questioned is why to keep Zach on a rebuilding team when you can trade him for picks and young assets? Well, he is young. Zach also has started to create chemistry with his teammates. With the Eastern Conference being as weak as it is, the Bulls can sneak into the playoffs with a smart pick at seven and a productive free agent signing.
Trading Zach would be a huge mistake for the Bulls. If they cannot get into the top two in the draft by trading him, it would be a waste of potential development. Zach had a career year coming off an ACL tear and it seems his potential has just skyrocketed.
With the glimpses of elite play Bulls fans saw last year from Zach, I'd hold onto him. He can turn into an elite Shooting Guard in this league and I think the Bulls would regret letting him go at this stage in his career.
This is more of a conversation based post, what would you like to see the Bulls do? Keep Zach? Or let him go?
