The Chicago Bulls were interested in trading for New York Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson. The two teams were unable to come to a deal when the deadline passed on February 10. Now, the Bulls will possibly be a suitor this offseason for his services.
Robinson would bring much-needed size to the Bulls front court and clear rim protection. At the end of this season, Robinson will enter unrestricted free agency. This allows him to sign with any team he chooses. If the Bulls were to acquire him, he would immediately be the best defending big on the roster.
In the 2021-22 campaign, Robinson has started 42 of 51 games. He is averaging 8.4 PPG, 8.6 RPG, and 1.6 BPG. He is shooting a staggering 76% from the field. Though it didn't work out at the NBA Trade Deadline, maybe the Bulls can sway him to join a very competitive team here in Chicago this upcoming offseason.
